Indian Rice Pudding

This Indian Rice pudding has become very popular in our household, it is so authentic, quick and easy. The perfect dessert if you have a gluten intolerance or lactose one or if you are vegan (just substitute the butter or margarine and the cow’s milk for more coconut milk).

SERVES: 4    PREP TIME: 5 min    COOKING TIME: 30 min


  • 1 Packet of our Indian Rice Pudding
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 2 cups cow milk
  • pistachios or fresh fruit to finish


  • Add the butter to a medium saucepan followed by the contents of the packet and both the milks.
  • Stir every now and then for 20/30 minutes until rice is cooked and pudding has become creamy.
  • Garnish with toasted pistachios or fresh fruit

Serve it hot or cold, as a dessert or mix it with fresh fruit for a sumptuous breakfast.
